This is one of Australia’s oldest botanical gardens just a quick drive from the city centre. The gardens spread out over 14 hectares, giving you heaps of space to stretch your legs and soak in the natural beauty. It's the perfect place for a picnic, so pack some sammies and chill on the lush lawns. 

There are plenty of interesting displays about Tassie’s unique plants, so you might even learn a thing or two. With plenty of parking for your campervan, it’s an easy and relaxing pit stop on your Tassie adventure. Finish the day wandering the Salamanca Market to unwind with a cold one and toast to the adventures of the day!  

Ben Lomond National Park  

When you're ready to head out and explore Tasmania's national parks, set your GPS for Ben Lomond National Park. Just a couple of hours from Hobart, this spot is a gem for nature lovers and thrill-seekers alike.  

The park boasts Tasmania’s second-highest peak and stunning alpine scenery that’ll knock your socks off. If hiking, rock climbing, or simply soaking up jaw-dropping views is your thing, Ben Lomond delivers big time. The drive up Jacobs Ladder—a winding, hair-raising road—is a bit of a white-knuckle ride, but the panoramic views at the top are worth every twist and turn.
